"As soon as Scott and I got together for this project, I was amped - I loved his script, and as a producer, I try to
make movies that I as a person in the audience would throw down money to see. I loved his comedic flair with the dark
undertones. I knew from Scott's experience that we could make a movie that looked like a million dollars on the budget of
one of Paris Hilton's cell phone bills. And I can't stand bats, I loved the whole Snake vampire thing- it reminded me of
growing up in Vegas and catching snakes in the desert with my friends on weekends. As a composer - I knew immediately that
I wanted to create a horror atmosphere with spanish and flamenco orchestrations but keep a youthful feel for our audience.
The music had to be the journey that Jeremy takes... from grungy speed/death metal to the flamenco stabs of the resurrection
of the Snake Queen to the life-changing climax of "the kiss." It was a blast from start to finish!"
This is the second feature for Ron, who also scored the kiss and produced three of the film's original songs. A professional
touring musician and musical director since the age of 16, he's been producer, composer, arranger and performer with
Grammy-winning acts, transferring over 25 years of experience to producing films. His recording facility "Valley Pride
Studios" handled all of the post production chores for the kiss,"including the editing", sound effects, ADR, scoring and
performance of the original songs. Ron grew up in Las Vegas (and the road) and lives in Southern California with his wife
Valerie, his daughter Posey and son Marshall.
"Films are an adventure - and making the kiss was the chance to take a really big one. First it was time to re-establish
the vampyre back to her rightful place - at the top of the food chain. And I was really clear from the outset that our Queen
would be a snake vampyre - I didn't want two little pricks in the neck like her bat predecessors, Santa Maria's bite would
have a ninety -degree bite radius and there would be no survivors. But I also love the passion that is the back beat of
every vampyre story... and who's more passionate than a woman in love? It's every teenage boy's dream - a beautiful older
woman who makes him the center of her world. Look, guys will always be down for a horror movie - I wanted to make a movie
that would also be interesting for the ladies, It was a story that everyone could relate to 16-260..."
This is Scott's feature directorial debut, and his second feature as a writer (his first, the family feature S.N.U.G.s is
currently in preproduction). Scott has been on a set since the age of seventeen, as award winning editor, cameraman, and
animator for both television and film. No stranger to the helm, he was creator/director of the award winning, syndicated
children's television series "Pug and Zero's Field Trip", and splits his time in both live and episodic television. Scott
was raised in Crestline near Lake Arrowhead, California and lives in Southern California with his wife Marcy, and canine
daughters Aria and ZuZu, as well as feline son Bhu.
